Why Will Costco Close All Its Stores in the United States?
Before you panic, keep in mind that the stores will only be closed for one day. The company is observing Labor Day, and as it does on other official holidays, none of its U.S. stores will be open that day so employees can enjoy the holiday with their families. Costco operations will resume as usual on Tuesday, September 8.

Unlike other supermarkets, the chain closes its doors on official holidays. These are:

- • Easter Sunday
- • Memorial Day (last Monday of May)
- • Independence Day (July 4)
- • Labor Day (first Monday of September)

Those with an Executive Membership will now be able to shop earlier during the following times:
