Auri: a game to promote awareness and inclusion of children with autism in schools

This project aims to improve the quality of life for children with autism in school environments and promote inclusive education from an early age through play.
Through the study of the topic and contact with people with autism and their families, we were able to understand the main challenges that children with autism face, such as lack of understanding, communication difficulties, and other social challenges. With this information, Auri was developed—an interactive game in the shape of a lighthouse, designed for preschool classrooms, combining a communicator based on pictograms and a sensory projector. Auri allows children to interact with the pictograms and play audiovisual content that promotes relaxation, entertainment, and learning. Auri received positive feedback from families, who highlight its potential to transform school dynamics and foster inclusion.
