From Insult to Injury: Exploring the Associations Between Severe Malnutrition in Childhood, Rehabilitation Weight Gain and Adult Adiposity in a Prospective Cohort Study

Emerging evidence links childhood severe malnutrition to adult cardiometabolic disease risk. Higher admission weight and nutritional oedema predicted adult adiposity while faster rehabilitation weight gain predicted adult adiposity in males only.
